Tokopedia released a new feature called "Search at Once" which can help buyers find a maximum of three products and at the same time recommend shops that sell these products, thereby saving shopping time and shipping costs.

"Through this feature, people can search for more than one product simultaneously and get recommendations for shop choices that sell all these products at once," said Tokopedia Senior Product Manager Lead Hefrian Syah in a media meeting attended online in Jakarta, Tuesday. .

Hefrian Syah stated that this new feature, also called "Multiple Product Search", can help people save time shopping because they no longer need to search for daily necessities one by one manually.

He said, customers can use this feature by clicking on the search column on the main page of the Tokopedia application and then typing in one of the products they want to buy. Then, press the plus sign at the far right of the search field and write down two other products you want to search for.

Next, buyers can click the "Search" button and they will be presented with various recommendations for shops that sell these three items at once. That way, customers can get free shipping for these three items because they buy them from one shop.

At the event entitled "Virtual Media Briefing: Tokopedia Launches New Features, Makes Shopping Even More Economical!" Meanwhile, Tokopedia's Senior Product Manager said that his party is a pioneer in using this feature in the global e-commerce sector.

He stated that this feature was created because of the need for buyers to find one shop that sells the various products they need at one time. The company also conducts research based on consumer behavior data and develops relevant features.

Based on Statista Market Insights, e-commerce users in Indonesia increased from 158.65 million in 2021 to 178.94 million in 2022 or an increase of 12.79 percent. Meanwhile, this figure is estimated to reach 196.47 million people by the end of 2023.
